The lymphatic system is the part of the immune system comprising a network of conduits called lymphatic vessels that carry a clear fluid called lymph,  unidirectionally toward the heart. Lymphoid tissue is found in many organs, particularly the lymph nodes, and in the lymphoid follicles associated with the digestive system such as the tonsils. The system also includes all the structures dedicated to the circulation and production of lymphocytes, which includes the spleen, thymus, bone marrow and the lymphoid tissue associated with the digestive system.

Lymphedema is the swelling caused by the accumulation of lymph fluid, which may occur if the lymphatic system is damaged or has malformations. It usually affects the limbs, though face, neck and abdomen may also be affected. Some common causes of swollen lymph nodes include infections, infectious mononucleosis, and cancer, e.g. Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and metastasis of cancerous cells via the lymphatic system. In elephantiasis, infection of the lymphatic vessels cause a thickening of the skin and enlargement of underlying tissues, especially in the legs and genitals. It is most commonly caused by a parasitic disease known as lymphatic filariasis. Lymphangiosarcoma is a malignant soft tissue tumor, whereas lymphangioma is a benign tumor occurring frequently in association with Turner syndrome. Lymphangioleiomyomatosis is a benign tumor of the smooth muscles of the lymphatics that occurs in the lungs.

The lymphatic system bathes every active tissue of the body and plays a key role in disease resistance. Lymph-Flo is an herbal formulation designed to aid the lymph system in this vital cleansing process. Our formula contains herbs used for centuries by experienced herbalists for the purpose of keeping body fluids free of toxins.

Testimonials

My daughter-in-law turned me onto Lymph-Flo three years ago. I began to be more aware that proper lymph drainage could take certain pains away. My jaw realignment problem creates irritation and neck gland swelling, which is reduced every time I take Lymph-Flo. Lawrence S.

Aside from taking the Lymph-Flo, are there any other things I can do to help maintain a healthy lymphatic flow?

The Surgeon General states that regular exercise reduces the risk of dying from heart disease, reduces the risk of developing high blood pressure, promotes psychological well-being, and helps build and maintain healthy bones, muscles, and joints. However, the lymphatic system has been overlooked. This system requires both internal and external factors to control lymph formation and transport. While intrinsic mechanisms involve spontaneous, intermittent contraction of the smooth muscle that lines the contractile lymphatic vessels, extrinsic mechanisms encompass active and passive body movement, pressure changes associated with respiration, and the pulse of nearby arteries. While many of these processes seem mechanical, individuals have the capability to manipulate and enhance lymphatic flow through massage and exercise. According to Lane et al. (2005), lymph flow increases by approximately 2- to 3-fold while exercising when compared to rest.

Can I take more than one cleanse at a time?

We do not suggest taking any of our cleanses together or at the same time. We suggest waiting between 3-4 weeks between cleanses to give your body a break from the cleansing process.
